Specialist, Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability & Impact

Position Summary:

This position will be focused on engaging field employees with the corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability and impact portfolio, including travel to present at team meetings, leading volunteer projects, and interacting with field employees to ensure they are participating in CSR employee programs.  In addition, this position will provide communications support for the CSR department, creating content for a variety of needs, including reports, articles, award templates, etc.  The position will also be responsible for ad hoc supportive activities for the CSR department, as identified by the Senior Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Help manage various projects consecutively, with attention to detail.

  • Help develop, manage and execute CSR department field engagement plan, which includes presenting in front of groups of employees large and small.

  • Help coordinate logistics and lead CSR volunteer projects.

  • Help represent the CSR team at relevant external events.

  • Maintains effective, current, and relevant CSR plans for assigned area / projects to drive successful outcomes; communicates those plans to relevant internal stakeholders as needed to raise awareness and garner support / resources

  • Contributes to and helps to execute CSR communication plans in partnership with CSR leadership and Corporate Communications, primarily focused on content development

  • Handles multiple priorities, establishing and maintaining effective and efficient channels of communication with community organizations as well as internal audiences

  • Liaise with commercial teams in the field

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Prior experience with creating content (essays, articles, etc.)

  • Deep commitment to supporting the community

  • Ease with presenting to and organizing groups of people

  • Enjoys and exhibits great skill when communicating with others

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products a plus

  • Interest in pharmaceutical/biotech industry

  • High degree of emotional intelligence
