Team Bios

President/CEO
As CEO of the Diversity Action Alliance (DAA), Carmella leads the organization’s strategy and operations, positioning it as a key resource for the PR and communications industries on workplace and societal issues. Under her leadership, the Alliance has grown into a vibrant community of nearly 1,000 communicators and hundreds of organizations, including top U.S. agencies and Fortune 500 companies.
Carmella’s career includes notable achievements, such as her role as the first Executive Director of the PRSA Foundation, where she exceeded budget goals by 32%. She has also secured high-profile media coverage and executed successful marketing strategies for various clients.
With a diverse career path, Carmella brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to fostering inclusive practices within the communications industry.

Director of Strategic Initiatives
Andrea Williams serves as the Director of Strategic Projects at the Diversity Action Alliance (DAA), where she leads the design and execution of impactful programs that optimize communications and public relations strategies. With over 13 years as a school leader in the 7th largest district in the nation, Andrea worked with educational stakeholders to build high-performing teams focused on improving student outcomes and fostering community engagement.
Her expertise in race/ethnicity, resilience, and educational psychology provides a unique lens through which she shapes inclusive, data-driven programs that drive organizational transformation. Prior to her leadership at DAA, Andrea developed strategic, grant-funded initiatives in the nonprofit sector, equipping her with a strong foundation in program development, public policy, and community partnerships.
In her current role, Andrea leverages AI and innovative solutions to build scalable strategies that improve communication, optimize stakeholder engagement, and streamline decision-making processes. With a vision rooted in inclusive business practices, she is focused on advancing organizational success through strategic leadership and innovation.

Marcomms and Events Manager
Jenny Ho serves as the DEI marketing, communications and events manager for the DAA. She does everything with the intention of empowering those who have been historically oppressed to thrive. She was born and raised in the Bay area, California, where cultural competency and diversity was normalized and naturally found herself as a social justice advocate. Currently, Jenny leads branding work, and provides primary support on event marketing and execution.

Kelly Fuller supports the DAA’s development and fundraising efforts.
As the DAA adopted a new fundraising model In 2024, the organization achieved its highest revenue level, representing a 22 percent increase over the previous year. Kelly brought needed consistency and follow-up to our efforts.
