LaFORCE Seeks Consumer/Lifestyle Account Supervisor

DESCRIPTION

We have an exciting opportunity for a strong Account Supervisor to join our Corporate and Consumer team - working with leading brands within the food, consumer lifestyle and retail space. We’re seeking a holistic, client-focused supervisor with strong media relationships and experience managing teams. In this position you will oversee client programs and act as the primary day-to-day client lead - communicating business needs and objectives, advising on program and campaign goals, creating and executing strategies and more. Strong candidates will have the ability to facilitate integrated programs and synergy across agency partners, client partners and team.

RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):

Program/Project Management

  • Responsible for program strategy and development

  • Seasoned ability to develop proposals, strategy documents and strategic program recommendations

  • Accountable for program success

  • Appropriately delegates assignments to team and manages program workflow

  • Ensures deadlines are met and work is “packaged” effectively for calls, meetings, etc.

  • Demonstrates seamless knowledge of the structure and resources of the agency (i.e. Digital, Accounting, HR, IT, Graphic Services)

 

Client Management

  • Ensures client work is delivered on time, within budget and is value-producing

  • Offers strategic advice about programs, measurement criteria, results and overall landscape

  • Perceived by clients and team as a strategic thought-leader

  • Anticipates client challenges and needs

  

Media Relations

  • Expert in media relations; established relationships with keymedia - experience with media across lifestyle, consumer news and food verticals a bonus

  • Consistently strengthens relationships with major media contacts

  • Consistently demonstrates ability to secure “WOW” hits

  • Provides strategic counsel to clients/team with regard to media opportunities

 

People Management

  • Supervises, reviews the work of and provides effective feedback for coordinator (s)/ junior account executive(s), account executive(s) and senior account executive(s), as applicable

  • Participates in solving team issues and is an effective leader and aspirational role model

  • Works closely with senior team members to identify and address training, development, education and skill-building needs for reporting staff

 

Business Management /Development

  • Regular participant and contributor to the new business process

  • Regularly seeks out ways to add value to the client/agency relationship

  • Ability to translate new business and annual program ideas into proposals

  

Budget/ Expense Management

  • Creates, oversees and is responsible for plan budgets

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 plus years of agency experience

  • Strategic and innovative

  • Understands overlap between marketing and communications practices

  • In-depth knowledge of client business/industry

  • Dynamic presentation and communication skills that gain confidence of client

  • Honed problem-solving skills

  • Strong project and people management skills

  • Consistently keeps up with industry trends and understands how they apply to client’s overall business

  • Solid understanding of social media in relation to client objectives; well-versed in all platforms and trends

  • Proven success incorporating digital and social marketing into PR campaigns
