H&S Communications Seeks Account Supervisor, Public Relations
POSITION OVERVIEW
H&S has an immediate opportunity for an Account Supervisor to join our team, working across several lifestyle brands. Our ideal candidate would have strong account management experience, stellar media relation skills with strong contacts in B2C consumer media, and a deep understanding of trends across various verticals including lifestyle, luxury, retail and travel.
The ability to perform a wide range of duties including development of client programs, strategic planning, staff development, and financial management is essential to this role. This person will also serve as key liaison with their clients, account teams, and agency senior leadership.

RESPONSIBILITES
Be a proactive and strong communicator with a problem-solving attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize programs and meet deadlines.
Advise clients on short and long-term strategy, set goals, manage expectations, set timelines and manage deliverables.
Lead strategic planning and management of multiple budgets across brands.
Development of PR programs that include Earned Media, Paid Media, Influencer, and Digital.
Serve as a key liaison between clients and the agency.
Serve as lead day-to-day client contact for client portfolio brands, while overseeing additional business development projects and brand activations simultaneously.
Project management across multiple agency partners: set deliverables, timelines, and assign roles and responsibilities for team members across all projects.
Finalize/review/edit press materials including but not limited to: fact sheets, press releases, boiler plates, interview briefing documents and reports.
Build and maintain excellent ongoing relationships with national trade publications, business, consumer, lifestyle and mainstream editors and influencers to create and place compelling stories that yield relevant media coverage and content.
Decode culture to concept, craft and create media and digital/social influencer briefs that generate persuasive shareable content and earned coverage.
Keep up with current events/spot trends in traditional, digital and social media – particularly as they relate to spirits, music, fashion and lifestyle.
Field media inquiries and interview requests on behalf of the brand; provide final review of all media facing materials/Q&A/Etc. Coordinate and manage all C-Level Executive media interviews.
Oversee ongoing News Bureau/media outreach across brands.
Evaluate/vet opportunities for brand sponsorships, partnerships, etc.
Review measurement analysis and work with the team to deliver in-depth recaps on a regular basis.
Keep up to date on client industry news and trends.
Participate in new business meetings, draft proposals, and pitch alongside senior leadership.
Manage and mentor junior team members, ensuring quantity and breadth of coverage.
Work within in an integrated marketing mix, as needed, on planning and execution of digital, influencer programs, and experiential.
QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years of experience in a public relations agency or similar position in a non-agency setting.
Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional marketing disciplines and agencies – (e.g., paid media and advertising agencies, etc…)
Experience managing client accounts, including staffing plans, budgets, strategic plans, and profitability reports.
Thrive in a diverse environment and contribute to overall H&S culture.

Ability to take surface consumer insights and identify trends.
Proficiency in writing and editing materials including proposals, strategy documents, messaging, correspondence, blogs, social media content, and reports.
Design and presentation abilities (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote and Adobe Suite).
Takes initiative and demonstrates flexibility when priorities shift.
Experience within the spirits, fashion, entertainment, and travel industries
highly preferred.
Work Location: temporarily remote but will be based in our NYC Office once we return in the coming months.
