G&S Communications seeks a Senior Social Media Specialist (Raleigh & Chicago)

 

The Senior Digital Engagement Specialist is a part of the multichannel excellence team and is responsible for providing innovative and strategic counsel to clients and account teams regarding the planning and execution of digital campaigns following agency and industry best practices.


G&S has a particular interest in the professional development of individuals from communities that are historically marginalized and currently underrepresented in our industry because of systemic bias or discrimination. Duties:

  • Contribute to marketing and communication strategies and offer suggestions to best leverage digital forms of communication from automation to email, from social to sms marketing

  • Understand and meet project deadlines, coordinate, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders as required

  • Collaborate with strategic capabilities, audience intelligence & performance marketing, digital enablement, and account teams to drive optional campaign performance

  • Conduct social media listening queries and assist in data segmentation within social listening

  • Conduct keyword analysis to help inform the creation of content

  • Maintain industry awareness of trends and create point of view documents on platform updates

  • Continuously manage, analyze, and optimize organic social media channel performance

  • Contribute to the development of social and email channel personas

  • Participate in agency staff and group meetings


Skills/Qualifications:

  • More than three years of professional experience with social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, etc. Experience with social media management and listening software preferred.

  • Knowledge of media trends, social platforms/email service providers and mobile applications.

  • Creative and digitally savvy. Must keep pace with social media and digital trends.

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and CMS platforms

  • A strong understanding of Digital Marketing

  • Familiarity with Social Media Listening Tools

  • Experience providing technical support, troubleshooting, quality assurance testing, and user experience testing

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

  • WordPress support/maintenance/installation/troubleshooting skills
