As an intern at Evoke KYNE you will learn about many different aspects of communications. These include competitive and industry research and analysis, monitoring the news and other media for client-relevant information, writing, project management and event planning. 

Currently, the Evoke KYNE team are working from home, so location within the UK and Ireland is not a barrier at this time.

Applicants should have a real interest in healthcare communications and/or public health, strong communication and writing skills, and an understanding of traditional and social media. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Researching and sourcing information for client projects

  • Preparing draft reports and writing content for materials including print and web

  • Building lists of relevant media outlets for clients, using relevant software

  • Helping to develop PowerPoint slides including images and text

  • Managing the delivery of items needed by the client

  • Managing workflow for client work and internal, Evoke KYNE work

  • Providing administrative support for account teams such as setting up calendar invites, ensuring that files are saved in the right place, drafting meeting minutes

  • Participating in all appropriate company educational opportunities (e.g., lectures, webinars)

  • Preparing and presenting an internship research project on a relevant topic by the end of your internship

A SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL BE:

  • From an under-represented ethnic group (see definition above)

  • Professional, proactive and a self-starter

  • Confident in excellent research, writing and organisation skills

  • Highly motivated and able to work independently or within a small team

  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines and multitasking

  • Capable of taking direction and reporting progress on your work to others

  • Logical, creative and flexible in approaching and dealing with challenges

THE DETAILS

  • Deadline for applications is 23 May. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview mid-May, with a view to starting the internship in June

  • The internship programme is for 3 months

  • Pay is at the rate of the national living wage in your location

  • A weekly commitment of 37.5 hours a week is required
