BluePRint DE&I Communications Internship(Remote), Diversity Action Alliance
The Diversity Action Alliance is seeking a part-time intern (20-30 hrs/week) to assist our team. The ideal candidates will be current undergraduate (Junior or Senior standing) or graduate students (or recent graduates of a graduate-level program) in a relevant field of study. Responsibilities
Partner with the Executive Director and DAA PR team to support communications and marketing initiatives.
Coordinate and execute the day-to-day social tasks including content creation, planning and copywriting.
Daily Website management and email monitoring, ensuring DAA site content is up-to-date and accurate.
Support and implement a comprehensive social media strategy (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook) to increase engagement, reach, visibility and traffic, stay abreast of upcoming trends and related events, monitoring engagement and interests of key stakeholders
Provide administrative support to other team members as needed.
Qualifications
A Junior, Senior or Graduate student with a background and/or pursuing undergraduate degree in corporate communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism or a related field with an interest in a career in communications and public relations.
Interest in Social Justice and Diversity Initiatives a must
Good attention to detail, including proofreading and editing ability
Social media savvy. Familiarity with social media platforms, Hootsuite, and Canva is preferred.
Outstanding written and oral communications skills
Familiarity with Google Workplace and tools
Experience with email marketing and marketing automation platforms such as Higher Logic, Constant Contact, MailChimp and HubSpot
Experience writing/editing for the web (blogging and other web-based content)
Basic familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Basic knowledge of HTML preferred but not required
Familiarity with Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and/or Illustrator) and interest in data analytics is a plus
