Current Global Seeks Director - Platform Strategy

DESCRIPTION

Current Global is looking for a Director, Platform Strategy in our Chicago office to join the Integrated Media community. A self-starter with an integrated marketing mindset, this person will be an expert in planning, designing and implementing campaigns on major social and digital platforms to best leverage earned, owned and paid strategies. S/he will collaborate with Current’s talent communities to develop and deliver comprehensive social and digital media plans for a variety of clients primarily in the CPG, food and beverage categories. 


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with teams to develop and manage integrated programs across platforms

  • Serve as a senior client contact and counselor

  • Effectively sell new approaches and techniques to colleagues and clients

  • Oversee planning and buying activities, identifying insights and optimizing campaigns to deliver on client objectives

  • Manage internal and external schedules and timelines, overseeing day-to-day activities

  • Stay at the forefront of new digital trends, applications and offerings of key and emerging platforms

  • Manage tracking and reporting of campaign progress and results

  • Provide insights and demonstrate ROI beyond impressions, click-through or fan acquisition

  • Develop campaign budget estimates; manage budgets

  • Mentor junior staff


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 7-9 years of experience, preferably with some agency experience

  • Deep digital and social media experience and relationships with platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc.; understanding and awareness of new offerings and solutions

  • Understanding of consumer behaviors across digital platforms and experiences

  • Analytical skills to evaluate media platforms for audience composition and to develop evidence-based recommendations

  • Expertise in analytics and measurement tools

  • Understanding of digital campaign ecosystems, online and offline marketing principles

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Detail-oriented, multi-tasker

  • Strong written, verbal communication, negotiations and presentation skills

  • Collaborative; self-motivated; entrepreneurial; endlessly curious
