Manager, Learning & Engagement
Page is seeking to hire a Manager, Learning & Engagement. This is a full-time, remote position reporting to the VP of Strategy & Content and requires travel about six times each year.
This role will focus on two critically important areas of work - managing the Future Leaders Experience (FLE), an executive educational program designed to prepare communications professionals for the role of the chief communication officer (CCO); and organizing and facilitating member conversations (primarily virtually through Zoom) that allow members to share knowledge, as well as providing primary event marketing support day to day.
BACKGROUND
Page (formally known as the Arthur W. Page Society) is the premier global membership association for senior corporate communications leaders. Members include CCOs at leading enterprises, non-profits, NGOs and government bodies; CEOs of public relations agencies and consultancies; and educators at top universities.
The Page mission is to strengthen the impact of chief communication officers and their teams and to lead the profession into the future. Our purpose is to create community among senior communication leaders to improve business and society.
Page members learn from each other by exchanging insights and perspectives. They also contribute leading-edge thinking to research reports that are used to define the future of the CCO.
RESPONSIBILITIES
EVENT PLANNING (40% OF ROLE)
Organize six in-person FLE workshops annually throughout the U.S. including arranging hotel and meeting space, food & beverage, on-site travel and all other event-related logistics
Negotiate contracts with vendors and partners
PROJECT MANAGEMENT (40% OF ROLE)
Work directly with C-Suite level executives who serve as “conveners” for the FLE and assist with agenda creation and content development
Manage a cohort of 60 senior communications professionals including keeping them up-to-date on all program information, serving as their main point of contact and managing an online community platform
Oversee recruitment efforts for each class (classes run over two years so recruitment occurs every other year)
Oversee an annual student case study competition and manage one temporary support person
Handle program tracking including evaluation and budget management
VIRTUAL ENGAGEMENT (20% OF ROLE)
Provide primary staff support for virtual conversations with members spanning different formats:
Think Thursdays: (some as small as 6-8 members and others from 20 to 40) bi-weekly calls focused on knowledge sharing related to emerging issues and other relevant topics
Webinars: Up to 100 members that feature presentations and/or expert speakers
PageConnect: Regular calls designed for affinity groups organized by industry
Project manage the above programs, working as part of a team to identify prospective speakers, prepare speakers/facilitators, and market the event.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Background and/or undergraduate degree in corporate communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or a related field
Event planning experience (conference planning a plus)
Exceptional project management skills, including good organization, communication and attention to detail.
Strong collaboration skills, problem-solving, customer-centric personality and ability to work with executives.
Good writing skills.
Familiarity with relevant technologies (Zoom, MS Office, Google Suite, CRMs, SurveyMonkey)
Marketing experience a plus
Design skills and ability to create branded visual content a plus.
