DE&I Communications Intern, PAGE (REMOTE)

The Page Society is seeking a part-time intern (15-20 hrs/week) to assist the Diversity Action Alliance (DAA) team. The ideal candidates will be current undergraduate or graduate students (or recent graduates of a graduate-level program) in a relevant field of study. Responsibilities 

  • Partner with the Executive Director and DAA PR team to support communications and marketing initiatives.

  • Coordinate and execute the day-to-day social tasks including content creation, planning, and copywriting.

  • Daily Website management and email monitoring, ensuring DAA site content are up-to-date and accurate. 

  • Support and implement a comprehensive social media strategy (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook) to increase engagement, reach, visibility, and traffic, stay abreast of upcoming trends and related events, monitor engagement and interests of key stakeholders

  • Provide administrative support to other team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • Background and/or pursuing an undergraduate degree in corporate communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism (current graduate student preferred)

  • Interest in Social Justice and Diversity Initiatives a must

  • Good attention to detail, including proofreading and editing ability

  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills

  • Experience with email marketing and marketing automation platforms such as Higher Logic, Constant Contact, MailChimp, and HubSpot

  • Experience writing/editing for the web (blogging and other web-based content)

  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Excel

  • Basic knowledge of HTML is preferred but not required

  • Familiarity with Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Illustrator) and interest in data analytics is a plus

Status: 15-20 hrs/week

Compensation: $16/hr

Duration: October - April (with possibility for extension)
